D.F. Wilhelm graduated from the University of Arizona in 1970 with a degree in Fine Arts while on a football scholarship. In the early 70’s, Wilhelm studied at the Art Students League in New York City, with Frank Mason, David Leffel, and Robert Beverly Hale.
Wilhelm has taught at the Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio, Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh, and the Springfield Museum in Massachusetts. He has conducted workshops at several universities.
Wilhelm’s paintings and etchings are in many private and public collections in the U.S. and abroad.
